The game in a nutshell

Uninvited Guests at a Wedding is an Indian-designed bluffing card game for 2 to 8 players, set at a big Indian wedding that you and your friends have crashed. You try to clear away the photo evidence that shows you while working out who everyone else is, and a wrong accusation knocks you out of the round. Games take 20 to 30 minutes and store listings say 14+, so it suits older cousins, college friends and party nights more than young children.

Is Uninvited Guests at a Wedding right for you?

Great if

  • Cousins and friends during wedding season, when the theme lands instantly
  • Groups of up to 8 who enjoy bluffing, blaming and short rounds
  • A gift with a desi theme that isn't another Bollywood quiz
  • Fans of Coup or Love Letter who want something for a bigger group

Skip it if

  • Your players are mostly under 12; the game is rated 14+ and leans on reading other people
  • Someone in your group hates being knocked out; a wrong guess puts you out for the rest of the round
  • You want a deep strategy game; this is a light party game

How Uninvited Guests at a Wedding plays

Everyone plays a guest who slipped into a big Indian wedding without an invitation. Each player secretly holds an identity card, and a grid of evidence cards is laid out on the table: photos of the crashers at the buffet, raiding the chaat counter and piling up their plates.

  • Time to teach: about 5 minutes.
  • Reading and language: The evidence cards are photos of the guests, and the accusing and arguing happen out loud in whatever language your group speaks. The rulebook is in English, and the publisher's product page links teaching videos in both English and Hindi.

Your turn, step by step

  1. 1
    Hide

Everyone secretly holds an identity card showing which wedding crasher they are, and a grid of photo evidence cards is laid out on the table.

  2. 2
    Clear or accuse

On your turn, either clear evidence from the grid, ideally photos that show you, or accuse another player of being a particular guest. Guess right and you score and take their identity card; guess wrong and you are out of the round at once.

  3. 3
    Bluff

You can play misleading evidence that doesn't show you to throw others off, but it costs you points at the end. Some guests are secretly spies helping the police, and an informant card joins in from the fifth round.

  4. 4
    Win

The most detailed store description says points from the evidence you cleared decide the winner, so being knocked out of a round doesn't end your chances. The publisher's short description says 'last one standing' instead, so follow the rulebook in the box.

The full explanation: how a game of Uninvited Guests at a Wedding goes

On your turn you do one of two things. You can clear evidence, taking cards out of the grid, ideally the ones that show you. Or you can accuse another player by naming who you think they are. Guess right and you score points and take their identity card; guess wrong and you are out of the round straight away.

Bluffing is the heart of it. You can play misleading evidence that doesn't show you, to send others down the wrong trail, but those cards count against you at the end. The publisher also mentions spies among the guests who are secretly helping the police, and store listings describe an informant card that is revealed from the fifth round onwards to shake things up.

At the end, points from the evidence you managed to clear decide the winner, so a player knocked out early can still win. Rounds are quick, and the publisher puts a full game at 20 to 30 minutes, with about 5 minutes to teach.

This is an Indian game from a Bengaluru publisher, Mozaic Games (DICE Toy Labs Pvt Ltd), so there is no imported version to compare. Our Amazon.in link goes to Mozaic Games' edition.

How to make sure you get a genuine copyA little care before you click.
  • The box should say Mozaic Games; listings may use the company's earlier name, DICE Toy Labs.
  • Be wary of a set that costs a fraction of the usual price; a much cheaper set sold under the name is unlikely to be Mozaic's game.
  • The front of the box shows a group of guests at a wedding buffet under the title. The publisher lists 2-8 players and 20-30 minutes, so a box claiming very different numbers is probably something else.
  • On Amazon.in, check that the listing title names DICE Toy Labs or Mozaic Games.
  • Don't confuse it with generic wedding or bridal-shower card packs, which are party activities, not this game.

What reviewers and players say

Uninvited Guests at a Wedding is a new Indian party game (2025), and written reviews are still scarce. The coverage so far is on video: an English teach by US YouTuber Steph Hodge, a Hindi tutorial from a Bengaluru channel and a short review from The Dice Tower's Tom Vasel. Going by that coverage and the publisher's description, its pull is the shaadi theme, a five-minute teach and room for up to 8 players. The catches are that a wrong accusation knocks you out of the round, and that it is a light bluffing game rather than a strategy game.

What people love

  • A desi wedding theme Indian groups get instantly: crashers, buffet photos and relatives on the lookout
  • Quick to teach (about 5 minutes, says the publisher) and over in 20 to 30 minutes
  • Plays up to 8, unusual for a small card game, which suits family functions and parties
  • A simple, tense choice every turn: quietly clear your evidence, or risk an accusation

Common complaints

  • A wrong guess knocks you out of the round, so some players end up watching
  • With only 2 or 3 players there are fewer people to bluff and read; the publisher's own page description says 4 to 8
  • Clear rules are hard to find online: there is no rules PDF, and the publisher's and stores' descriptions of how you win don't agree
